Principal Physiotherapist Director Belconnen
Julian completed a Bachelor of Science (anatomy major) at the University of NSW in 1983. He then completed his Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy in 1984. He became a titled Sports Physiotherapist in the 1990s. He has worked with football from local to international level, working with with teams such as Sydney City in the old NSL, Canberra Vikings Rugby Union, Canberra Raiders Rugby League, the Matildas, ACTAS, Canberra United, and local Premier League clubs.
He is particularly interested in knee injuries, especially Anterior Cruciate Ligament ruptures, in their mechanism, prevention and rehabilitation. He also is interested in the progress of health and exercise from school age to retirement. He still pretends to kick a football around the park and loves the freedom of motorcycling on road and dirt. He also spends time in the gym to assist in longevity.
Katrina joined our team of physiotherapists in 2008. After completing a Bachelor of Science at the Australian National University, Katrina went on to complete a Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Canberra in 2008.
Katrina is currently the Australian U20 Matildas Physiotherapist in addition to working with the Canberra United W League and Canberra Olympic Men’s soccer teams.
Katrina is passionate about providing hands-on treatment and is also qualified in performing dry needling. She is available for consultations at our Belconnen practice.
Michaela joined our team in 2014 after completing a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science and a Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Canberra in addition to her Certificates III and IV in fitness.
Michaela has a background in football (soccer) and her professional interests in private practice involve acute sports injuries and pelvic dysfunction. Michaela’s professional interests extend to cardio-respiratory, burns, and orthopaedic physiotherapy, as well as stroke and aged care rehabilitation. In keeping, Michaela has worked with the Calvary Hospital in the ICU and the orthopaedics and medical wards to further her experience and knowledge in each of these clinical areas. Additionally Michaela provides physiotherapy services to the residents at Goodwin Aged Care in Ainslie and Ozanam Apartments in Garran.
Michaela is currently the Canberra Cavalry National Baseball League, Boomerangs FS and Belconnen United Men’s National Premier League Physiotherapist and has been lucky enough to work with many other teams including:
- The Young Matildas
- Canberra United in the W-League
- Canberra Olympic in the Men’s National Premier League
- Tuggeranong United in the Men’s National Premier League
- Capital Footballs High Performance squads
- Boomerang FS in the Women’s F-League and NSW Futsal Premier League
Michaela is hoping to complete her Master of Sports Physiotherapy in the coming years.
Jacqui commenced working at Performance Edge in 2015. She completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy in 1992 and has had over 20 years of experience as a physiotherapist working predominantly with sports injuries and musculoskeletal conditions. She has worked in several sporting practices in Sydney prior to moving to Canberra to work as a physiotherapist with the Australian Defence Force for over 10 years.
Jacqui has an interest in public health matters with a particular interest in physical activity and getting people moving and exercising. Jacqui is currently under taking a Masters of Public Health through the University of Sydney. In addition to her work at Performance Edge Physiotherapy, she is involved with Arthritis ACT implementing strength and balance programs for people who have arthritis or have had a fall in the community.
Jacqui is a mad Collingwood supporter and enjoys keeping fit. She has played elite level hockey many years ago in addition to being a competitive swimmer.
Susannah recently graduated from University of Canberra Physiotherapy Masters program. She has an undergraduate degree in Human Biology also from the University of Canberra and has also completed a certificate 1 in Pilates Matwork. In her spare time Susannah’s interests include running, oztag and tennis.
Susannah is available at both our north and south side clinics for physiotherapy consultations and Pilates one to one sessions.
Nick joined our team in 2016. Following a short 6 year ‘gap-year’ in the Australian Army, Nick completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Biology) and a Master of Physiotherapy at the university of Canberra in 2014.
Aka ‘The Tennis Physio’, Nick works closely with Tennis players and their coaches to enhance performance whilst reducing the risk of injury.
Nick is a contractor Physiotherapist to Tennis Australia and provides Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine services for Tennis Australia tournaments. Nick is also a Physiotherapist for the Uni-Norths Owls Rugby Union Club.
Nick is interested and has playing experience in a wide variety of sports including: Tennis, Rugby Union, Rugby League, Cricket, Soccer, Netball, Distance Running, Touch Football and Dragon Boating.
Nick has an academic interest and experience in treating the following conditions: Tennis & Golfers Elbow, Shoulder Overuse Injuries (including ‘Shoulder Impingement’), Ankle & Knee Post-Op Rehab and Acute lower limb injuries, Sports Hand/Wrist Injuries and Upper and Lower Limb Tendinopathy.

Tammy has recently Joined our team at PEP Belconnen as a Remedial Massage Therapist, where she enjoys treating a variety of patients. Tammy completed her Diploma of Remedial Massage in 2014, she then when on to gain further qualifications in cupping, oncology 1, Taping, pregnancy and Sports massage. Tammy uses a variety of massage techniques specifically tailored to meet your individual needs.
